Ah I love the eye.

My main "tip" would be that when you're shading, use a very low flow setting... If you're using the default brush spacing (I think it's 25%) then do a flow of around 5%, but if you change the spacing to 0% (Looks much better) change the flow to around 1%. It helps to do layering.

Ah that's a great tip. I don't have any idea what flow is...what does it do? o.O

Thanks!

It's like opacity, only you don't have to release the mouse button to get it to layer on. Try it out, you'll see what I mean.

Brush opacities are IMPORTANT like whoa. I love to lay in a flat color, then shade with the brush set to 20 or 30 percent and different darker colors.

She looks most lovely so far.

i really hate Photoshop for doing this kind of work. Everything i do turns out looking too damn shiny. >< So i can't give you any advice on this front. i just can't get used to non-cel shading with it. And alas, my computer is too slow for some things in Painter. Le sigh. :( Too bad, cuz Painter ROCKS. I think you'd like it.

This is looking good tho.... hmm, i guess if i could give any advice, it's to mess with layers and their filters to see what kind of affects you can get. Looking good so far tho, keep it up.

Hey thanks!

I'm having problems with cel shading on photoshop. I don't know why, but I just can't make it look slick enough. My mouse is all wobbly and icky...

yeah, it takes a lot of practice and adjusting of your mouse to get it right. I used to be able to do i perfectly, but then my mouse broke. This new one just isn't the same. :(
