Artist's Comments

I suck at photography, but I got to start somewhere. So. Tell me how to get gooder, 'cos I. DON'T. KNOW. ANYTHING. :B

I love this cat. She is MINE. She also sits still for absolutely ages, so I draw her a bit too...should post some of those up sometime.

Thank you for looking!

EDIT: Reuploaded, took a lot of the brightness off of the pic, as suggested.

Very nice use of lighting here, it brings out the textures very well. You're very very good for this being one of your first dives into photography. I say keep at it.

I know nothing of photography, but I think this is a lovely greyscale shot - the lighting and textures are most vivid.

everyday should be a reason for your guy to show you he loves you not jus valentines day
It's a good shot, no disputing that factor. The composition is spot on, and works effectively. However, there are lighting points to be made...there's far too much overexposure on the fur, losing a lot of the detail that should be there. I'd love to see this reshot!

For a good cat + light picture see this one by ~nokomis - it's got the perfect balance of light without losing the detail - [link]

Hey, thankies for that..but how do I tweak exposure and stuffs? What is it exactly? (tld you I didn't know anything) o.O

And OMG I saw nokomis's photo and that is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. *glomps it*

Exposure is set by the camera itself - you need to *really* read up if you don't know what it is! Try looking at photography sites on the net for the basics and take it from there...

Wow, much better! The detail is much better, and you can the cat's mouth now which lends a greater expression. Lovely :)
